Steps for Patch implementation
1. Download the patch according to SAP notes
2. check the SPAM/SAINT release It has to be 32 to 35
3. Use the T code SM02 and Send the message to all user like
system will be down for the 1 hrs or so......This is
important and sap recommends no user login while patch
implementation..
4. Now, loging with DDIC user and start uploading patches
....the best practice is first implement the patches to Q&A
and then to production...
As its an interview question, you must know each and every
step...

1.Download the required patches from sap service market
place into sap download manager.
2.Uncar the patches by using sapcar -xvf command.
3.Paste all the downloaded patches into
usr/sap/trans/eps/in.
4.Login into the system with client 000 and ddic user.
5.Run Tcode spam.
6.Go to support package-->Load Packages-->From Application
Server.
7.Check the dependencies of the patch.
8.Go to Display/Define.
9.Select the required support package to be apply.
10.Apply the support package in background mode.

First download the required patch from sap service market
place and by using SAPCAR tool extract it in /usr/sap/tran
filesystem and that will automatically will get generated
in /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in then by using transaction code
spam apply it.

hi all,
1.download required patches from service market place.
2.un car the patches by using command sapcar -xvf <filename.car> -R eps/in path.
3.execute spam Go to support package-->Load Packages-->From Application server
4.go to display define queue.
5.go to import queue.
6.the import can be sheduled immediately(or)background immediately(or)at later time during off peak hours.
