EP monitoring---check java system running or not using with
jcmon pf=" ";check whether java up n running,
tolls like configtoll,visualadmin,nwa,useradmin tools can be
used to monitor java system.

Hi,
EP stands for Enterprise Portal which is something like
Enterprise Resource Portal and it is a package which is
abbreviated as SAP ERP Package.
As a Basis Consultant one should know about SAP
Architecture and what is SAP Architecture 3 things together
form an SAP Architecture and they are :
Presentation layer
Application Layer and
Development Layer and one more as Internet Layer and they
all combine to give us SAPAS which is combination of all
the 4 layers together.
Basis Consultant should have knowledge of Basis
Administration and the related T code and their functioning
when one connect through SAP Logon pad to Application
Server (SAP Server).There are 000 to 999 clients and
default inbuilt Users.000 is the Master Client and 001 is
the copy of Master Client,006 is copy client.There are 3
default users as SAP*,DDIC,SAPUSER .As SAP 4.7 version has
been into market in 1992 these 2 users SAP and SAPUser has
got Unique passwords based on date,month and year and
viceversa.Sap* has got password as 06071992 and
19920706.SAPUser has got default password as PASS.
