COD must be country specific. SAP provides sample COD for
many countries. these contain pre-defined depriciation
area.
we can then use these country specific COD to creat our
own, company specific COD.Each company code use on
(Operative) COA and one COD.
All or several copany code can work with the same COA and
COD.

I would agree with Bhupesh except for one thing. COD are recommended to be at country level. There is nothing stopping you from using the same COD across countries or having different CODs for same country (multiple company codes)

Hello everyone, let us put it this way. COD may be assigned to company codes basing upon their country's statutory requirements and settings inside the COD. But, strictly speaking, in SAP, when we say "at company code level" means an object which cannot functon unless assigned to a company code.
For ex: vendor acc. Grp. is at client level because it can perform its functions without being assigned to a company code And multiple company codes can use the same vendor acc. Grp.
I used to think that it is country level, but now I guess it is at company code level.
Anyone arguing that it is at country level, for them.. look settings inside COD may country specific but essence is what it is linked to.
Any suggestions are most welcome. Let's sort this thing out together

COD is at country level because assigning to company code is not the parameter of defining level. as we know that Chart of account is also assign to company code but it is client level. so, COD is at country level to meet the required depreciation of asset

In our country we can assign only one chart of depreciation
to only one company code. If one C.O.D is assigned to one
company code,we can not assign the same c.o.d to another
company code. It is restriced so, it may be client level.

hi can anybody help me.In year 2007 Ihave completed PGDBM (FIN) after completing this I found that there is no opening for pgdbm (fn) fresher they either have to opt for marketing job or join any callcentre for getting finance job.thereafter someone have suggested me to do SAP FI i did SAP FI but after completing this I again found that there is no demand for SAP FI fresher although our institute have given me faqe experience but they have not given any live project training or any interview training now i dont know whether to concentrate on SAP fi job or pgdbm fin job Im in great depression lease someone help me &tell me the way where to go
