A man loses 20% of his money and after spending 70% of the remainder he is left with Rs. 270. Orig..

Answer / vignesh1988i

taking an orbital value to be 1000.. then he loses 20% , so
800 will be remaining... then he spends 70% of the remainder
so it will come upto 560.. so remaining will be 240. so this
corresponds to 270 in this question. so by unitary method we
can find... it will come 1125 rupees

thank u

A man loses 20% of his money and after spending 70% of the remainder he is left with Rs. 270. Orig..

Answer / neeraj

Suppose that he had x rupee.
He loss 20% so remaining
rupee 4x/5.
After spending 70% of
remaining
rupee=4x/5-4x/5.70/100
=6x/25.
So
6x/25=270
thus the x=1125 rupee.
Thanks.

A man loses 20% of his money and after spending 70% of the remainder he is left with Rs. 270. Orig..

Answer / dinesh m

ANS:1125

Remaining = 270 (30%) => So, 70% = 630 (Spending money)
After 20% loss he had 80%
It means 80% = 900 (30% + 70%)
Here,
80% = 900 ,So, 20% = 225(Loss)
Total amount = 900 (80%) + 225(20%) = 1125

A man loses 20% of his money and after spending 70% of the remainder he is left with Rs. 270. Orig..

Answer / g.prasanth

He spends 70% of remainder (80% of total) and he has 270 rupees which is 30%. If 30% is 270 then 10% = 90. 70% = 7 * 90 = 630. So 80% of total money = 900 rupees (630+270). If 80% of total money = 900 then 10% of total = (900 / 8) = 112.5. If 10% = 112.5 then 100% = 112.5 * 10 = 1125.
