otherwise you can do this configurations from ndd

first see the default values from ndd

ndd -get /dev/hme0(networkcard) \?

OR ndd /dev/hme0 \? it will list all the parameters

ex::
ndd /dev/hme0 link_speed

later modify using

ndd -set /dev/hme0 link_speed value
