It is a document that describes the way the testing could
be approached. The key components of the document is
Objective - A brief description about the change or the
idea implemented with critical benefits
Scope - What are all the requirements that will be tested
as part of the current release
Out scope- Areas that will not be tested by the team who
prepares this document, but still the change exist
Risk - potential factor that could harm the project in
future of later part of testing life cycle
Mitigation Plan: Solution or suggestion to alleviate the
risks hilited
Deliverables - Items supplied by the test team to the
clients
Entry criterial for each phase of testing
Exit criteria for each phase of testing
Environment and tools used for testing
Test data dependecy if any
Roles and responsibilites
Testing techiques(Black or white box) and levels of testing
(unit,smoke,system,integration,regression etc..)
RACI matrix (who are all responsible for what kind of
approvals)
Links to the all base lined documents supplied by the
clients
