As per As 9 dividend is recognised as income when company
has got right to received such dividend.
It is an Indirect Income and taxable in the head of Income

Dividend received from a company is a indirect income not a
capital revenue, it is a income on our investment. Further
dividend received from a domestic company is exempted from
tax in the hands of receiver.
