inductance ....since...resistance becomes zero....high
currents flow through the whole circuit...so heavy heat&
sparks r produced

Answer / srikant
When we suddenly switched off a load due to sudden change in current a voltage is developed across the inductor(v=L di/dt). This heavy voltage will ionise the air to make the air as conductor to produce arc in the form of sparking.

Because
Inductor does not allow sudden changes

As we switch off the circuit, there is a sudden change in the magnetic flux linked with the circuit. This might be the reason for the spark. And this leads to the answer.

there must b some other reason... because for AC it always
changes from +ve max. to zero and from zero to -ve max. and
with this principle transformer inductor core works with ac
only. So what u indicate by sudden change..
and when the load is switched off, I think it gets infinite
resistance not the zero resistance...
so please clarify..

Well I think the reason of sparking is high resistance in load circuit .forexample:we can practically see in our home that when we connect or disconnect a 2000kw electric heater to electric circuit,a large numbers of sparking occurs because flow of current (electrons )depend upon resistance. When we connect or disconnect a high resistive load, some current electrons misguide and they jump into air and strike to air electrons, and its result is sparking occurs. Inductance is a not a reason for sparking because when we connect a 25kva 3 phase transformer without load on line there is no sparking occurs on terminal, this is my personal experience.

Consider sinc(x):where sinc(x)=sin (xpi)/xpi. and sinc(x) have max value i.e. unity at x=0 .now if x=0.then pix =0 and sin (pix)=0 at x=0. then above expression sin (xpi)/xpi.should be of 0/0 form i.e. in-determined form. then how sinc(x) is one at x=0. pi is constant.
