How will you convert a 6 Normal solution to 8 Normal solution?..

Answer / innie

answers #1 and #3 are correct:
it IS possible to convert a lower concentration to a higher
concentration, but you would have to scale up.

for example, if you have 1000 mL of 6N HCl, and you want to
make 1500 mL 8N HCl, you would follow this equation...

(1000 x 6) + 12x = 1500(8)
so 6000 + 12x = 12000
so 12x = 6000, and x = 500

so, add 500 mL 12N HCl to 1 liter 6N HCl to get 1.5 L 8N
HCl.

How will you convert a 6 Normal solution to 8 Normal solution?..

Answer / ankalreddy.s

we can't convert lower normal solution to higher normal
solution.
generally we are using dilution law for preparation of
required normality. N1V1=N2V2

How will you convert a 6 Normal solution to 8 Normal solution?..

Answer / dnyaneshwar

Very easy or simple this preparation used by N1V1=N2V2 formula calculate of 8m HCL preparatuon for 1000ml and then add additional quantity of HCL in previous 6M HCL then get 8M HCL this method throgh saving of waste ,coast, time .
