if we are not concerned about the initial investment, the
best method for cooling such transformer is nitrogen
cooling or hygrogen cooling.

But this method is too costlier and having best overall
efficiency.

If it is oil immersed & equipped with radiators than It may
cooled with forced air by introducing fans, If you want to
enhanced it's effeciency more than introduced Forced Oil by
using pump & circulating oil continously.

A 100MVA T/F MAY BE COOLED WITH FORCED LUBRICATION FORCED
COOLED. IT MEANS THAT COOLING OIL IS CIRCULATED WITH MOTOR
AND THIS AREA IS COOLED WITH FORCED COOLING FANS.

Practical condition in 400KV Sub station:- Breaker(open) , isolator(open), Earthing (close) at both end e.g A & B. Now Open A Stn Earthing than Open B stn Earthing (Which have a 50MVA reactor) , AND suddenly show R,Y,B phase 704KV,573KV,118KV respectively. Que is without closing of breaker how it is possible.???? At the starting of dc motor and syn.motor and induction motor high current flowing through the winding. Due to this the windings burnt out. To avoid this different types of starters are used. But incase of transformer what Will be used (At starting no emf is induced in the primary winding)?
