Hub is a layer1 device while switch is layer2 device (data
link).
Also,hub doesnt understand MAC addresses and so, doesnt
possess intelligence. But, switch identifies MAC addresses
and possess intelligence about sending message to which LAN
segment.it connects different LAN segments

SWITCH : Multi-port bridge
