Answer / sham
it's depend on system
Basicaly for LV system it should be less than 1 ohm and
for MV system it should be in rage of 1 to 5 omh

Answer / satya dev ( knight frank)
It is depending on usage
LV- for copmutor/ electronic device --- 0- 1 ohm
for UPS --- 0- 1 ohm
HV - for substaion/ power generating system- 0- 5 ohm
but 0 is not possible.

For derty Earth: the min is zero as ideal case and the
maximum shoildn't more that 1.5 ohm.
For Clean earth the min as before and the maximum is 1 ohm.

The whole list of answers is confusing.
No one is telling the correct values for a normal
Industrial machinery which sometimes includes sophisticated
machinery using Computers and electronics circuit.
I want to check the earthing status of some of the Earths I
did about 5 years ago in my factory.
Can someone help me in this.

Individual value should be less than 5 Ohms , as low as
possible, Combined value to be < 1 ohms , it is not
dependent on voltage level
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 1 Yes | 1 No |
Answer / ajay
Ideally zero
for generating substation 0-1 ohm
for transmission system 2-4 ohm
for distribution system 2-5 ohm
