1. There are six columns of coins and there are eight coins in each column. One of the columns..

Answer / prajakta

Answer 1.
case 1: RS. 40,400
case 2: RS. 43,200
case 3: Rs. 45,000
Now annual interest is 9%,
He gets 2628 interest in bank for 2nd option if he
deposits the rest amount i.e.,
(40400-20000) and (40400-(20000+11600)) in bank. But
40400+2628=43028<43200 i.e., even if he adds the interest
got in bank to the original(40400); amount he has to pay is
more than that. Therefore 2nd would be a wrong choice. In
3rd option he gets interest in bank as Rs4158 n
40400+4158=44558<45000.
Therefore 1st option is the best.

1. There are six columns of coins and there are eight coins in each column. One of the columns..

Answer / moxda

case A: 40,400 (CASH)
case B: 45,288 [2(11,600* 9%)= (20,000+12,644+12,644)]
case C: 47,700 [3(10,000* 9%)= (15,000+10,900+10,900+10,900)]

so most attractive option is case 'C'
