after four years
their ratio of ages is (5x+4)/(7x+4)=3/7
on solving the equation 20x+16=21x+12
we get x=4
on substitution in 7x
we get renu's present age as
28 years

( 3:4 = or 3/7 and 4/7)
( 3*7=21 and 4*7 =28 and add the both answer like 21+28=49 multiple by 4 years= 196/7=28.
