A wire of resistance 24 ohms is bent in the form of a circular ring. The effective resistance betwe..

Answer / nihal

As a diameter divides a circle exactly half a way, so the wire too is divided halvely. Thus the length of each 2 segments is half of original. Thus resistance of each is halved. As the 2 segments is between the same 2 points, the combination is parallel. Then,
R=(12*12)/(12+12)=6 ohms

A wire of resistance 24 ohms is bent in the form of a circular ring. The effective resistance betwe..

Answer / prachi

khud dhood lo doosron ko kyon pareshaan kar rhe ho

by the way answer is 6 ohm as the diameter divides the
circle in 2 different parts so it divides the wire in 2
different parts and resistance becomes half

A wire of resistance 24 ohms is bent in the form of a circular ring. The effective resistance betwe..

Answer / shahbaz khan

For resistance between two point of diameter (180degree) of circle
=180/360*24
=12 ohm
We got R1= 12 ohm

R2=R-R1
=24-12=12. [Given R=24]

Therefore effective resistance;
1/R=1/R1+ 1/R2

= 1/12 + 1/12
=1/6
R=6 ohm

Since Effective resistance is 6 ohm
