After working in development for six months, what made you
to shift into testing? I faced this question several times.

To my knowledge development has some lerning constraints
like, a person working in java technology can become a good
developer only after spending atleast 1 year or so. But in
QA within a short span like 1 or 2 years we can have a good
understnding about various domains like servers , security
types etc.. which inspired me more towards QA.

Developer can able to work in particular domains i.e., if
developer know java then he can develop web based
application, if developer know vb then he can develop only
window based application(client-server applications), if
dev know sap then he can work on sap only. but test
engineer can learn more by testing various domains. I mean
if u r testing web based application u can learn about web
based application, similarly client server application, sap
application, oracle application etc. Finally what i am
saying is as a tester can learn more by working in
different domains where as developer can learn only few
things by working in particular domains.
