For this we can first calculate the U/L.
i.e. engine produces 30 units by 10 litters.
then U/L= 30/10= 3
SO, 30 KWH Produce by 10 litters diesel.
now PF= KWH/KVA,
Hence.. KWH= KVA*.8,
SO U/L= KVA*.8/Diesel Consume,
so, Diesel Consume per KVA= .8/(U/L),

Diesel consumption =(150*bhp)/(1000*.84)
150 is diesel in grams/bhp/hr.
.84 is specific gravity of diesel.
