as per IS 383:1970 the percentage of silt should be kept as low as possible,ideally less than 3%. Higher percentages of silt can cause appreciable reduction in the Compressive Strength of concrete.

What is the quantity of cement, sand, and gravel to be used in M20 grade of concrete for 1000 x 1000 x 1000 mm of sand (for cement please mention in kilos, and for sand and gravel please mention it in CFT)
