A differential pressure transmitter is configured to measure the height of an open tank : height 10m and dia 5m.
Suppose this same transmitter is shifted to another open tank : height 10m and dia 4m.

Height of the tank from the ground affects the differential pressure calculations. P = h X d X unit area.
Since the area is constant. I thick I am correct. 1meter of water with density 1 is 10 kpa. Height is measured from ground level in meters.
So the pct of error is zero provided the tank is at ground level medium and location is same. The tank height and diameter formula to calculate the volume will change or affected
