There are different type of fuses HRC is also
one of the type and it stands for " High Rupting Capacity".
This type of fuses normally used where some delay is
acceptable for protecting the system.

HRC stand for high rupturing capacity, use for
1)very hight overcurrent protection normally on top of
motor overload protection devices, act as standby triping,
remmember this : UPS use for back up power failure, triping
aslo must need back up else primaty protection fails leads
to fire and properties damaged
2)high short circuit current with high KA rating compared
with MCCB
3)no moving mechanism once hit fusing current fast acting
to cut of the high fault current flow.. to prevent damage
to the equipment
