The Circuit Breakers are will trip(Current Operated Device)when the current will goes over the limit(Current Rating).But the contactors are not going to trip.

There are two main difference bet'n contactor and circuit braker
1) contactor is used for low voltage while CB is used for high voltage.
2) contactor only make contact between line and load.there is no tripping mechanism. while in CB is current operated device.which has a tripping mechanism.

My above answer appears to be wrong.Contactors are for
closing circuit and are to be opened manually.Circuit
breaker has a tripping (opening) mechanism and may have
closing mechanism also.

You can add that contactors are to be operated off-load only
