why neutral busbar size is half of the phase busbar size in
control panels

why neutral busbar size is half of the phase busbar size in control panels..

Answer / abdul samad

If ur Load is balanced in three Phase supply system Neural
current is Zero . neutral current is always depend on the
Unbalance load. So in Case of 3 phase system neutral bus
taken half of Main bus.
but in case of 1 phase supply system neutral is the return
cunductor and phase current will be equal to neutral curent.
so In 1 phase neural would be of same size.
as In three phase, current in neutral in one third
of phases so conductor size is less. but in single phase neutral conductor size should be same as phase conductor size
