Can a Differential Pressure Transmitter be used as a normal pressure transmitter??..

Answer / uttam dutta

Normally differential pressure switch have low range, If
the max. pressure of the line is more than the max. range
of pressure switch and if pressure of high pressure line
crosses the limit of diff. pressure switch then the diff.
pressure switch will be damaged and could not be used.

By opening the low line of diff. pressure switch it can be
use to measure the pressure theoretically but practically
it is not used, more over sufficient precaution to be taken
before connecting the high pressure line to the diff.
pressure switch, and this thing is mentioned with each
diff. pressure switch catalog.
