To grounding the neutral of a transformer becease this time
neutral is works as earthing. And the earthing safety they
transformer by any kinds of electrical falts. over load
current & lighting.

grounding of neutral is because of whenever there is fault in equipment, the excessive current flow through in it and it will ground through neutral wire

In distribution transformer the secondary side is always in star connection i,.e a neutal piont is drawn. Neutal wire & the core of x-mer is connected to earthing bcs if there is enormous load variation the overall load will b on phase wires hense x-mer might blow off due to increase in the value of hysteresis & eddy losses........
