Yesterday (22nd Oct) I had my L1B visa interview. The
consulate rejected my VISA stating that I should go for L1
invidual VISA or H1B Visa. He just asked me 4 to 5
questions and then started writing something on the
computer. The questions were:
1)My employer
2)My education: BTECH
3)My client , inidan salary and salary in US
4)the team size of project in India and in US. I had told
around 50 in India and around 10 in US.
I gave all the answers correctly. Can you please let me
know the following:
1)what could be the reason of rejection ?
2)What should be the time gap before filing for L1
individual VISA again.
3)What are the chances of rejection of L1 individual visa?
4)What care should be taken next time during VISA interview?

Hi Swati,
Your L1B would certainly have a petitioner
mentioning your company has more than 50 employees in US.
If it is less then 50 then you need to go for individual
visa. Check your petition for this and assure that you dont
make the same msitake.

Hi, I got rejected 3 times for B1 2 years back. but that time i was working for small company. now i am going to appear for the L1 visa. my profile has couple of changes, one is, i am working for a bigger well known company and now i have completed MCA. earlier when i got rejected B1, i only had MBA which is not a technical degree since i am into software development. My L1 Blanket petition got rejected stating the Reason - Not clearly approvable. The option that they have selected on the blue form is : Your blanket L-1 application is not clearly approvable under section 8 CFR 214.2 (I) (ii) (D ) and INA 101 (a) (15) (L). You may not reapply using the same petition, but may reapply as the beneficiary of an approved individual petition. Can someone suggest me what should be my next approach . I was passed in 2007.did lectureship in engineering college for 2.5 yrs then did one professional course in 2010.from there i got placed to MNC now having 1.5yr of exp in software.Now my company wants to file L1 B visa for me.As dis visa is meant for people with specialized knowledge.Is this 3.5 yr of gap after my education and job will be reason for my L1 rejection.Do the visa officer check every educational certificate thoughrouly.I cant mention lectureship as my previous employer also.plz help I have my visa interview is on next week.
