Thanx Mr Prakash for that update. But can u tell us how to measure the rotor current in brushless gen.

This is one of the methods implemented to measure high
currents.I am not sure that this method is used for
measuring Gen Rotor Currents. But this will surely give u an
idea.In this case, a shunt element , a manganin resistor of
accurately known resistance, is placed in series with the
load so that all of the current to be measured will flow
through it. The voltage drop across the shunt is
proportional to the current flowing through it and since its
resistance is known, a millivolt meter connected across the
shunt can be scaled to directly read the current value.

Please note that this applies to large generators in which
the field the rotor and there will be two slip rings called
as 'collector rings'. The usage of shunt resistance for
measurement of field current is not possible in brushless
gen
