VPN stands for Virtual Private Network.VPN provides the
private network communication over public network.VPN uses
L2TP,PPTP & IPSec protocol for communication.VPN provides
secure transmission with these secure protocol.Data is sent
into cipher mode.

RAS is used to access remote pc from another location.RAS
uses PPP protocol for communication.RAS doesn't provide
security because data is sent into simple text format.

Write down the basic features of HDLC protocol? Could HDLC be used as a data link protocol for a LAN? Justify your answer.
