May be IP address are Different or workgroup or domain name
or not support windows firewall you can disable firewall

i suppose you have XP operating system,
check the connectivity by pinging the system if ping ok then
check wether simple file sharing is ticked or not, if it is
tick , then untick.
second in tcp/ip properities enable file and printer
sharing.

First you have to Check Network interface Card Device
Driver and Configure IP Address and Subnet Mask.Check the
System is ping with other system and create one new folder
check folder is sharing or not
