What is RTCC panel and why it is required

Rtcc is remote tap changer circuit. It is used to change tap position as per requirement of load. It generally maintains voltage at specific value, if there is any change in voltage rtcc gets it at reqd value. It also involves AVR (automatic voltage controller).
