how to recover root passwd ?

1-Boot the server with the help of solaris os cd
ok>boot cdrom -s
2-Mount the root file
#mount /dev/dsk/<Physical name e.g. c0t0d0s0> /a
3-Go inside in this directory
#cd a
4-Edit the shadow file
#vi /etc/shadow
......
loginID:passwd
remove the passwd field which is the second field in this
file.
5-remount the filesystem
#cd /
#umount a
#reboot
Remove the os cd and boot the machine normally.login with
root account and press enter this time it will not ask any
password.
