the component which cant perform any function itself but
when these components are connected in any ckt with active
component then it gives a performance. for ex: resistor,
capacitor, inductor.....
the component which can perform a specific funtion like
amplifying the signal, rectify the signal..........they are
called active component. for ex: transistors, diode, scr,
diac,triac.........
