what is the function of nozzle?
what happend when the fluid flow through a taper pipe
i.e. what about inlet and outlet velocity, pressure,
Answer Posted / gatish mittal
the basic funtion of pressure nozzles is to convert the
pressure energy supplied by the high pressure pump into
kinetic energy in form of a thin film, the stabily of which
is determined by the properties of the liquid. such as
vescosity, surface tension, density and quality per unit of
time, and by the medium into which the liquid is sprayed.
the inlet pressure of pipe is more than outer pressure and
velocity is less than the outer velocity.
the velocity of nozzle is depends upon the ending point
diameter of nozzle, when a ending point of diameter of
nozzle is less than the velocity of fluid is more.
