It's just a myth. . . have you ever seen 220v line,it doesn't even exist. The transmission line are usually of 230v and for high voltages we use 400kv power system.

Practical condition in 400KV Sub station:- Breaker(open) , isolator(open), Earthing (close) at both end e.g A & B.
