What are Drift and Diffusion currents?
Answer Posted / aman
drift current - when electric field is applied the electrons move to the positive terminal of the voltage, flow of electron constitute an electric current called drift current.
diffusion current - the concentration of material is not uniformly distributed hence the concentration of charge carriers tend to distribute themselves through the crystal. this movement continues until all the carriers are uniformly distributed, this current is called diffusion current.
