MS --Mobile Station also called as UE User equipment
BSS _ Includes the BTS Base transmitting station
BSC : Base switching controller
PCU : Packet core unit for the GPRS/EDGE Services
TCU : Transcoder Unit
OMC_R : For monitoring the BSS
NSS : Includes the MSC Master switching center
VLR : Visitor location register
HLR : Home location Register
EIR : Equipment identity Register
AuC : Authentication center
GMSC : gateway MSC to connect to the other PLMN
networks or other mobile networks
