why we need complex no. in physical world?

Answer Posted / bob

'Complex' numbers is a misnomer. It is not that the numbers
are complex, but that they represent mathematics in a
certain way. One way that is useful is to represent physical
phenomena in a way that simplifies the mathematics. In
electrical engineering, for example, you can use complex
numbers to represent circuit behavior. Without complex
numbers, you can be stuck with very difficult differential
equations. This is very common in mathematics:

difficult physical equation-->transform into simpler
domain(in this case the complex domain)-->solve
equations-->transform back into physical solution. It is
essentially a way to simplify the math.
