Question
how biodiesel helps in reducing co2
Rank Answer Posted By
 Question Submitted By :: Parag_mohanty
I also faced this Question!!   © ALL Interview .com
Answer
Bio diesel has carbon neutral property. Activities that don't disrupt this balance are described as carbon-neutral.
Bio diesel is plant based and using it adds no extra CO2 greenhouse gas to the atmosphere. In fact, there's no actual reduction in the amount of CO2 produced when biodiesel is burned instead of petro-diesel -- the same amount of CO2 will come out of the exhaust pipe with either fuel.
But the CO2 released by burning biodiesel is part of the current natural cycle, it does not raise the level of CO2 in the atmosphere and does not act as a greenhouse gas. Biodiesel is carbon-neutral and does not increase global warming.

Question
i m doing bsc in biotechnology n i m confuse what to do in
future...whether i shall do msc in biotechnology or any
otyer course?in future which field will have greater
oppurtunity?

I also faced this Question!!   © ALL Interview .com
Answer
Doing just a bsc in biotechnology will not suffice,..u need
to do a higher course. But a Msc in biotechnology even is
not enough. Only courses like a Btech or Mtech in
biotechnology can only fetch a good earn job. But if ur
hard working n have patience then u can opt for R & D
sector by preparing for JRF exams. or else go for a MBA
degree in biotech or go for clinical research..it may
provide better opportunities.

Question
what is differance between trans acting element and
transcription factor?
Rank Answer Posted By
 Question Submitted By :: Amit
This Interview Question Asked @   NBRI
I also faced this Question!!   © ALL Interview .com
Answer
Trans acting elements are those elements which are specific
to other than core promoter element(TATA box)eg.GC box,CAAT
box which are located several bp upstream to the core
promoter element.This may act during induction in specific
tissues i.e. during tissue specific expression contol.They
can also be known as Specialized Transcription
Factors.Whereas transcription factors facilitate the binding
of the RNA polII into the core promoter element sequence and
conduit the trancription i.e. generalised transcription factors.

Question
what happen when there is absence of sulfur cantaining
amino acid in protein synthesis?
Rank Answer Posted By
 Question Submitted By :: Amit
I also faced this Question!!   © ALL Interview .com
Answer
if sulfur conataing amino acid is abscent( methionin) there
is no polypeptide chain synthesize. and no s-s bond occur in
protein chain so chain become denatured & non-functional.

Santosh Chaudhary

Answer
if sulfur containing amino acids (e.g Methionine,Cysteine etc.) are absent then there will b no disulphide bond formation and thus there will be no proper folding in polypeptide chain hence protein synthesized will be inactive or non funtional.

Rank Answer Posted By
 Question Submitted By :: Amit
I also faced this Question!!   © ALL Interview .com
Answer
Red biotechnology refers to the use of organisms for the
improvement of medical processes. It includes the designing
of organisms to manufacture pharmaceutical products like
antibiotics and vaccines, the engineering of genetic cures
through genomic manipulation, and its use in forensics
through DNA profiling.

Answer
Red biotechnology is biotechnology applied to medical
processes. Some examples are the designing of organisms to
produce antibiotics, and the engineering of genetic cures to
diseases through genomic manipulation

Question
what is catabolic repression?
Rank Answer Posted By
 Question Submitted By :: Amit
I also faced this Question!!   © ALL Interview .com
Answer
Catabolite repression allows bacteria to adapt quickly to a
preferred (rapidly metabolisable) carbon and energy source
first. This is usually achieved through inhibition of
synthesis of enzymes involved in catabolism of carbon
sources other than the preferred one

Dinesh

Answer
Catabolite repression is an important part of global control
system of various bacteria and other micro-organisms.
Catabolite repression allows bacteria to adapt quickly to a
preferred (rapidly metabolisable) carbon and energy source.It
is otherwise called as Carbon catabolic repression. This is
usually achieved through inhibition of synthesis of enzymes
involved in catabolism of carbon sources other than the
preferred one. The catabolite repression was first shown to be
intiated by glucose and therefore sometimes referred to as the
glucose effec
