The difference in the speeds between Stator and rotor field
is called as slip

5slip = {(Ns-Nr)/Ns}*100

Ns- Stator speed
Nr-Rotor speed

low in case of wind mills so squirrel age generators r used.
slip=syn.spped-rotor speed/syn.speed.

Why do we generate 3 Phase AC Supply? It is possible to generate 4 Phase and 5 Phase explain it?
