More primary and secondary turns are required to make up
for the lower primary current to maintain the secondary
current.Hence the core also will be bigger.

CT is a step up transformer thats why with the decrease of ct ratio the the current in the secondary side will increase as a result of decrease in secondary voltage ,which will cause more I sqr. losses which is not economical further.
