It induces very High Voltage when switch is made On and the
Tube light ignites to establish flow of Electron from one
side to other and vice versa. After tube light glows it
reduces the voltage between the terminals of the tube
lights which is sufficient to keep it glowing.

choke is a high inductive device and does not allowed sudden
change of current , if it happens then a high voltage
induced as per the equation- V= L di/dt. Starter helps to
break the circuit as initially current flows , from supply
to choke, tube light one coil, starter, tube light other coil
then back to supply. when starter opens the circuit the
induced voltage across the tube light is sufficient to
ionise the fluorescent material inside the tube light and
the current path made through it. and tube light glows.

if we create load graph of tube light,it required very high
starting p.d because of to excite the electrons of the gas
filled in the t.l...and inductor stores and discharge the
energy so T.L required choke..

wat is mean by HRC fuse... WHY we choose it...?
In the formula : Knee point voltage = Burden X alf / class, Please inform what is alf? regards Shashidhar M.R.
A synchronous machines has higher capacity for (1) Leading power factor (2) Lagging power factor (3) Does not depend upon the power factor of machine (4) None of the above
