why fuse not recomended to neutral
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
Neutral is return path of the circuit only. fuse is used to
protect equipments.so while over current or short circuit
circuit to be dicconnected before equipment. so in
neutral ..fuse is not recomended or not required.

Fuse is an device used to protrct the wireing,in case of
over current, short circuit conditions. When this type of
fault occurs in a system or failure of insulation, maximum
fault current flows in wire.If fuse is connected to the
neutal:
(i) fuse will not blow when phase is shorting with
earth line and cause fire hazard.
(ii)if fuse is blown off then also phase supply
(live)will be available which wilb dangerace for the peson
thinking that no power is available to the equipment.

Fuse is used for safety as well as the protection of the
equipment. When short circut occurs and if fuse is connected
to the neutral then fuse of neutral will be blown off, but
it is of no use because we are disconnecting the path that
is directly connected to the earth. Since our body is also
at ground and neutral is also grounded therefore if neutral
is not disconnected then it will not effect the safety,
because if someone touch the neutral(seperately} it will
not cause of shock wheather fuse is connected
Now if live supply is not disconnected it will cause shock
to the prson, since our live supply is not at ground
potential.
Therefore it is mendatory to connect fuse in live portion
and it is of no use to connect fuse in the neutral.Besides
of that during short circuit fault neutral will give return
path to the faulty current.

fuse is used to disconnect the circuit from supply under
fault condition . It will never use on neutral because when
the fuse blow under fault condition the phase wire will
still connected to the equipment and hence the person can
get shock how come in contact with the equipment.

in three phase supply , if neutral is break for any reason
the two phase voltage came across equipment . so it damage
the the equipment ....

Fuse is used for safety as well as the protection of the
equipment and operator too.fuse can b connect in neutral as well as in phase
the fuse will work as the same on both (in natural or in phase)
IER make this rule to connect the fuse to the phase only just to the safety of equipment & operator
and if there is a earthing and fuse is connected at the neutral and there is a inrush of current fuse will disconncet the neutral after disconnecting the nutral earthing will make itself as a return path and the equipment will damage altimeatly
and operator comes in contact with that equipment than due to the connection of phase he/she can suffer a shock
due to these both reasons fuse is connected in phase only

I work in the medical electronics field. Sometimes fusing
both is a good idea and even recommended. Refer to this

We know that primary transmission is done to reduce current so that i^2*r loss could be minimised but according to ohm's law v is directly proportional to i,which indirectly means higher potential difference means larger current?so how the current is minimised in high power transmission line??
