IN DC MOTOR WHILE WE Giving THE DC supply THE COMMUTATOR
CHANGE into ac current.

The above answer is correct but i just want to add that in
general commutator works in converting AC to DC and vice
versa as in case of DC generator.

input&output in dc machine to the help of carbon brush
