DC motors are broadly classified in to SHUNT and SERIES
Motors and COMPOUND motors
DC Generator is Classified in to SERIES and SHUNT generators
and COMPOUND generators

AC Machines are classified in to SYNCHRONOUS and
ASYNCHRONOUS Machines
Asychronous machines are INDUCTION Machines
