what is a hot file, why we need in datawarehousing, where we used in general..

Answer / srinath rao.g

A hot file is a datasource by which we can develope .IMR
reports

.IMR reports can be developed in two ways
1.by catalog
2.by hot files
we can generate the reports by using two datasources at a
time with the help of HOTFILES.

WHERE AS does't support two datasources at a time.
