In a 11000/440 V transformer, when any one phase of 11 KV
supply fails (ie., single phasing), what happens to the
secondary voltage and why?

Answer / haiderali
When any one phase of 11 KV supply fails, phase voltage
will be half of the normal voltage in two phases of
secondary side while only one phase will deliver full
voltage (i.e. 440/sq.root3)with respect to neutral.

if the 11kv /440 v supply if one phase fails then at that
time open delta circuit takes place in that case the for
which the equipment connected to the secondary side , 440v
side will work below their efficiency
