WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RESISANTANCE AND IMPEDANCE IF IMPEDANCE IS MORE THAN RESISTANCE AT S..

Answer / saurabh

Resistance is a real part of Impedance. Basically Impedance
has two parts a)Resitance b)Reactance in case of
alternating current but in case of direct current it has
only one part that is resistance. We can understand it by
the following eqution:

Z=R+jX (all quantities in vector form)
Where the real part of impedance is R it means voltage and
current are in phase and the imaginary part is reactance X.
Impedance is also define by the equation Z=V/I (all
quantities in vector form)
Reactance occurs due to inductance or capacitance of a
circuit so it has also two types a)capacitive reactance b)
inductive reactance given by the equation, X=ZsinQ.In case
of Inductive reactance the current is 90 deg. lag with the
voltage and 90 deg lead in case of capacitive reactance in
Idea condition. We can also define impedace by impedance
diagram and find out the relation between resistance
reactance & impedance another equation of impedance is
Z=RcosQ where cosQ is the power factor of the system

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RESISANTANCE AND IMPEDANCE IF IMPEDANCE IS MORE THAN RESISTANCE AT S..

Answer / chandan

Resistance is the real part of Impedance,i.e. Z=R+jX.
Where R is resistance while Z is Impedance & X is Reactance.
The mod of Impedance is always greater than the value of
resistance.Since all these quantities are in phasor form
that means current through Resistance flows with zero time
difference while current through reactance flows with either
20/4=5 ms lead or lag if supply frequency is 50 hz.lead or
lag values depends on capacitance or inductance.
Active and reactive value are independent from each other. So
at the same voltage impedance willbe more than resistance by
Modulus. But if we see by phasor it may be greater or smaller
as the X value we will use.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RESISANTANCE AND IMPEDANCE IF IMPEDANCE IS MORE THAN RESISTANCE AT S..

Answer / nimish

In A.C. supply reactance comes in to picture and in D.C.
supply there is a resistance.

z = R + jX

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RESISANTANCE AND IMPEDANCE IF IMPEDANCE IS MORE THAN RESISTANCE AT S..

Answer / manojkhandelwal

resistance is only opposing property of R while impeedance
is written as Z=R+jX here real part is resistance and
imaginary part is reactance so impdance is combination of
resistance and reactancewhen Z>R it mean ractance is rising
slowly
