Binding wire consumption 8kg per metric tonne of steel. Therefore 0.008kg(8g) per kg of steel

Quantity of binding wire required per ton or per kg ( or by % of reinforced steel is generally depends on many factors like spacing of steel bars ,Dia of steel bars and method of binding etc . But in normal construction generally the quantity of binding wire required will be in the range of 2 to 3% by weight of reinforce steel.
