Suppose, we are using 10 dia reinforcement with 120 c/c spacing in slab.Due to unavailability of 10 dia., we opt 12 dia. reinforcement then:
Area of 10mm dia/spacing = Area of 12 dia/spacing
3.14*10*10/120 = 3.14*12*12/x
therefore, x=172.8,
say, 175mm
hence, provide 12 mm dia r/f in slab @ 175C/C

how amny bricks of size 240 mm X 120 mm X70 mm are required in 100 cubic meter brickwork. How much cement is required at 10 mm masonry and at 4:1 sand cement ratio and how much cubic meter of sand is required for the above work.
How many bricks will be fit in one cubic meter, if the brick measurement is 0.20cm X0.08, If you also write down the formula for this question too.
As per thumb rule cement required per 1 cum of M20 concrete is 411Kg/cum(1.57/5.5=0.285cum of cement i.e 0.285*1440=411Kg).But as per PWD rate analysis cement required is 347Kg/cum.the difference is 64Kg.This kind of difference is coming every grade of concrete. Can you give perfect suggestion regarding this.
