primary winding
of transformer it will be burnt out.
similarly dc
supply is given to field winding of
syn. motor
and armature winding of dc motor,
they are
safe. (Remember both windings
inductive nature) what is the reason
behind that?

Answer / sourabh vishwakarma

because dc has no frequency so that it can't produced inductance than transformer get heated and burn but dc have megnatic proparty so that motor works in dc.

Answer / r.durgaprasad

dc motor is protected by back emf
and syn.
motor is protected by self induced
emf. ( for
low voltage of dc supply transformer
is also safe
because there is also self induced
