A transducer is a device which converts one form of energy to another form of energy, it can be electrical, mechanical or thermal energy. It is not limited to electrical only.
Whereas, a pressure transmitter is a device which consists of a pressure sensing element(e.g diaphragm) which senses the pressure and than converts the sensed pressure to electrical signal of 4-20 mA with the help of a transducer.

A pressure transmitter is a device which consists of a
pressure sensing element(e.g diaphragm - transducer)and
converts the pressure into electrical signal using bridge
circuit.(e.g. 4-20mA, 1-5VDC).

A transducer is a device which converts one form of energy into another. But a transmitter is a device which is composed of a series of transducing stages to give output as industrial standard signals. The industrial standard signals are pneumatic (3 - 15psig), electrical (4 - 20 mA). there are three types of transmitters. Pneumatic transmitter, Analog Transmitter and Digital Transmitter

what will happen if transmitter wire get shoted?
If a differential pressure transmitter is calibrated for 0~2500 mmH2o and transmits a 4~20mA dc signal. The transmitter is placed across an orifice plate which is sized to create 2500 mmH2o differential at 5000m3/Hr a) what is the flow rate when the transmitter signal is 13.0mA DC? b) what is the signal output of the transmitter when flow rate is 2500 m3/Hr ?
